Progressive Church Media is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

We may collect the following information:
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
If you use AI-powered tools available on this website (such as image generation tools), the prompts and instructions you provide may be processed by third-party artificial intelligence services in order to generate the requested content. These services may temporarily process this information to produce the generated output. We do not sell this information and only use such services to provide the requested functionality.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Content created using AI tools on this website may be stored within your account library so that you can access or download your generated media.
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.
PCM Lumen
Privacy Policy Addendum
Addendum to the Progressive Church Media Privacy Policy
This addendum applies specifically to PCM Lumen and supplements the Progressive Church Media Privacy Policy at progressivechurchmedia.com/privacy/. Where this addendum addresses the same topic as the general Privacy Policy, this addendum governs for PCM Lumen users.
Privacy is a design principle of PCM Lumen, not a legal footnote. We built Lumen for pastors who trust us with sensitive ministry materials. The commitments in this section are not aspirational — they are binding.
PCM Lumen collects and processes personal and ministry data only to personalize and deliver the Lumen experience to you. We make the following unconditional commitments:
Important note: The general Progressive Church Media Privacy Policy states that we “may use the information to improve our products and services.” That clause does not apply to data collected through PCM Lumen. Lumen data — including your ministry profile, uploaded documents, theological identity, and generated outputs — is excluded from any product improvement use without your separate, explicit consent.
When you use PCM Lumen, we collect the following categories of information in addition to the general information described in the PCM Privacy Policy:
During onboarding and ongoing use, you may provide information about your ministry context, including:
This information is used exclusively to personalize Lumen’s outputs for your context. It is not used for marketing, shared with third parties, or used to train AI models.
Lumen asks about your theological identity, including your tradition’s approach to scripture, social justice, and inclusive language. This is sensitive personal information. It is collected solely to help Lumen generate content consistent with your theological voice. It is stored privately in your account and is never shared with other users, third-party advertisers, or PCM staff beyond what is necessary to operate the service.
You may upload documents to help Lumen learn your voice and understand your congregation. These may include:
Uploaded documents are stored in a private, account-specific location. They are not indexed, searchable by others, or accessible to PCM staff except when you explicitly request technical support. Accepted formats currently include PDF, DOCX, and TXT. Uploaded images may include PNG, JPG, SVG, GIF, and WEBP formats. File size and quantity limits apply as stated in the PCM Lumen Terms and Conditions.
Sermon angles, draft communications, formation materials, and other content generated through Lumen are saved to your account library. This content belongs to you. It is not reviewed by PCM staff, shared with other users, or used to train AI systems.
We collect standard usage data — such as which features you use and how often — to maintain and improve Lumen’s reliability. This data is aggregated and anonymized before any internal analysis. It is not linked to the content of your ministry profile, documents, or generated outputs.
PCM Lumen uses the information you provide solely for the following purposes:
We do not use your Lumen data for:
Lumen routes your prompts and relevant ministry context to third-party artificial intelligence services to generate responses. When you submit a prompt — including any context drawn from your ministry profile or uploaded documents — that information is transmitted to our AI provider to produce the output.
We require our AI providers to agree contractually that submitted content will not be used to train their models. We select providers based in part on this commitment. However, we cannot guarantee the future policies of third-party providers, and we will notify you of any material change to provider data handling practices.
AI providers process your content only as necessary to generate your requested output. They do not have ongoing access to your stored documents or ministry profile.
Generation speed, feature availability, and service continuity depend in part on third-party infrastructure and may vary.
Your uploaded documents are stored using Amazon S3 cloud storage via an automated file management system. Each file is stored in a private, account-specific location tagged with your account identifier, so it can be cleanly identified, exported, or deleted without affecting other platform content.
We apply appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including:
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@progressivechurchmedia.com.
You have the following rights with respect to data held in your PCM Lumen account:
Access
You can view your ministry profile, uploaded documents, and saved outputs at any time through your Lumen account.
Correction
You can edit your ministry profile and theological identity information at any time through your account settings.
Export
You can download your uploaded documents and saved outputs at any time. If you close your account, you will have the opportunity to export your data before deletion is finalized.
Deletion
You can permanently delete individual uploaded files, saved outputs, or your entire account at any time. When you delete your account, all associated data — including your ministry profile, uploaded documents, theological identity information, and saved content — will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymized, non-identifiable usage data may be retained for platform analytics after account deletion.
Opt out of communications
You can unsubscribe from PCM marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Transactional emails related to your account (such as subscription notices) are not affected by marketing opt-outs.
To exercise any of these rights, you can use your account settings or contact us at contact@progressivechurchmedia.com.
We retain your Lumen data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:
When your account is closed — whether by you or by PCM due to a Terms violation — all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
PCM Lumen is intended for use by ordained or licensed clergy and ministry professionals. It is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors through Lumen.
We may update this addendum as Lumen evolves. If we make a change that materially affects how we handle your data — particularly with respect to the commitments in Section 1 — we will notify active Lumen users by email before the change takes effect. Continued use of Lumen after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
This addendum was last updated May 2026.
You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under local laws. A fee may be applicable, depending on the request and as allowed by law. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please contact us at contact@progressivechurchmedia.com.
If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
