Remembrance Day UK Video

Description

Remembrance Day UK Video. The Union Jack fills the sky behind a field of red poppies, with the words We Remember across the center.

A motion background for progressive and affirming congregations keeping Remembrance Sunday or Remembrance Day.

Britain keeps the two-minute silence at eleven o’clock on November 11, and the national ceremony falls on Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday of the month, at the Cenotaph in Whitehall. Most church services land on that Sunday.

Church observance turns on sacrifice, reconciliation, and hope for peace. Many congregations read the names of their own dead, lay a wreath at the church memorial, and keep the Act of Remembrance, answering together: we will remember them. Hymns such as Abide with Me and O God, Our Help in Ages Past are often sung.

The background loops behind the reading, the silence, or the prayers. The artwork asserts only remembrance; what it means is yours to say.
