Ash Wednesday Scorched Paper Graphics

Description

White paper burns away from the center, its charred edges curling, to reveal a dark cross underneath; bienvenido and adiós run along the bottom in a thin script, with English versions in the set. What burns away is the surface. What is left is the cross. The set’s whole argument is that the fire reveals rather than destroys, which is what Ash Wednesday says about us too: the ash is dust, not disgrace.

The graphics are still images at screen and print sizes, for the slide behind the reading, the bulletin cover, the website and the sign at the door.

English and Spanish versions are included, so one download serves both your English and your Spanish services.
