Where the Wind Leads — Lent Social Media Set

For many of your neighbors, a church’s Instagram or Facebook page is the only Lent they will see. A post that stops the scroll without a word of guilt says something before anyone reads the caption: this congregation is going somewhere, and you are welcome to come along.

Where the Wind Leads draws on the start of Lent, when the Spirit leads Jesus into the wilderness (Luke 4:1; Mark 1:12). In Hebrew and Greek the word for spirit also means wind. Jesus appears as a first-century Galilean Jewish man in a tunic and fringed mantle, standing with his back to the viewer beneath a rose-colored moon while the wind moves his cloak and hair. The scene is drawn in fine engraved line work, with the sky extended above him for the tall formats.

The set includes animated posts in 9:16 Story format at 1080 by 1920 and 4:5 feed format at 1080 by 1350, each 12 seconds long, in English and in Spanish, “A donde el viento nos guíe.” Each also comes as a still post, and both formats include a text-free still so you can add your church name and service times in the app you already use.

The posts carry no PCM branding, so they go out as your own. They are silent, so you can add the audio you choose in Instagram or Facebook. Nothing carries a date or a lectionary year, so the set serves any Lent, from the week before Ash Wednesday through Holy Week.
